Why the heck the world is going crazy about my hijab!?

Whats the big deal about hijab? Who wants to wear it, let them wear it. Who doesnt want, be free not to.

I want to cover my hair. I want to go on the street with it. I want to work with it. Go to the market with it. Go to my daughter’s school with it. Do what ever I want to do. Live with it.

Sometimes white, sometimes black, maybe pink or yellow, depends on my mood. But I love it, no matter what shape or color. Wearing it, I am saying I am slave of Allah (SWT) only, my heart and brain is what is counts & important. Why people are saying I am oppressed? Why they are saying I am forced to wear it? Why they think they have to liberate me from it? Yo!, people I LOVE MY HIJAB!!!

Yes, life is more difficult with it. What ever I do, it has to be at least 100000 times better than others did. I know that. Its so clear. People are showing me that so clear, every day. It sucks, I know. But its my choice. And I know why and for whom I am doing it. You can do it only for Him, coz His love is only worth of doing it.

But why people are making such a big deal of it, wallahi?? Why hijab ban in France, in Turkey, Italy and all other countries? I just dont get it. This piece of cloth bothering them so much?? And they are keep saying these hijab bans are for my own good?? Alright, I really JUST DONT GET IT! Will someone please explain to me?

Habibti! Oh, how i feel you, sister!

I was blog-hopping when I came across a post which I thought is befitting for such topic. I shall cut and paste a paragraph which describes the situation aptly.

How should we treat non Muslims who are hostile or just ignorant and don’t treat us as they should, should we be confrontational and demand our rights etc.

The Shaykh responded, “No, demand Allah ’s rights only, stating that we should not be demanding our own rights and whenever we could sacrifice our own prestige we should not hesitate to do so, but whenever something was for Allah swt we should stand up for it, as the Shaykh said this is the way.”

The Shaykh continued: Don’t compromise your deen, because of them (the non Muslims). Don’t do anything because of them and don’t. refrain from anything because of them, but just speak your truth

Remember, Rasullullah said Islam began as strange and will return as strange.

Therefore those who are accused of being strange, rejoice that you are in the Righteous path and insya-Allah , Jannah awaits those who follow Allah and His Prophet. Insya-Allah .

wa alaikumussalam habibti :)) thanks for these words, its meant a lot to me.
what I really dont understand is why they keep saying what should we think, what should we feel and whats good for us, when Allah gave us, muslims (especialy muslim women) mind, heart and feelings, so we can live by ourselfs, without them saying how to…

I really love the article! masha’Allah great job!
I also wanted to say please remove my photo as soon as possible. A couple months ago I have uploaded the photo to my Flickr-page and since then people just steal the photo and use it on their site or a youtube-clip. I already deleted my photo from Flickr. This was not my intention and now it travelled half the world!! I can prove you that it’s my photo and it’s me on the photo.
